This is where you come to enjoy ultimate peace and quiet. Hotel Rebecca, with its homely rooms in the tranquillity of De Waal. Brasserie Rebecca, with its own vegetable garden, where you can taste the most extraordinary flavours of Texel and the whole world. Our terrace, where you can take a break from your bike ride across Texel for a good lunch and a refreshing drink. Discover De Waal, the characteristic village in the heart of Texel, and discover the vast surroundings. With the dunes always in the background and the bustle of Den Burg just around the corner. Welcome.

Hotel

On the outskirts of De Waal, the smallest village of Texel, a stone's throw from nature reserve and bird-watching paradise Waalenburg, lies Hotel Rebecca. Far from the places where most tourists stay.

The seventeen hotel rooms are simply, but charmingly furnished. The beds sleep wonderfully and the nights are dark and quiet. In the morning, you can wake up peacefully at a table with fresh bread rolls, homemade jam, muesli and a delicious cup of good coffee.

Brasserie

Enjoying the most delicious dishes with matching wines, flavours that go together smoothly or that just tickle your fancy. That's inspiring. The tranquil De Waal is the perfect backdrop. Brasserie Rebecca bakes its own bread, our vegetables grow in our own vegetable garden, we work with local products and worldly flavours.

Melvin and Leon van Sambeek are making a fabulous dinner! But you can also come to us for a filling lunch. Enjoy a classic “uitsmijter” on the sunny sheltered terrace, or pop in while Melvin and Leon are preparing — this will give you a first impression of the rich aromas and flavours of Brasserie Rebecca.

Staying in De Waal

De Waal is the heart of Texel. All well-known destinations on the island are in the vicinity of De Waal: the dunes, the woods, the lighthouse, the harbour of Oudeschild... The lively village of Den Burg is just around the corner. Between De Waal and De Koog lies the vast polder Waalenburg, where the meadow birds surf the winds. But in the sheltered village, that wind is hardly felt. De Waal cherishes tranquillity and we also cherish it in Hotel Rebecca. That's what our regular guests come back for.
